After being canceled for the second year in row, the Statesman Cap10K announced last week that 2020 runners registrations can be applied for the 2021 race.
“We’re thrilled to announce that we can apply your 2019 and 2020 Cap10K registration to your 2021 Cap10K registration, at no additional charge to you,” said says Race Director, Jeff Simecek.
The registration is non-transferable and is the only consideration or compensation available to 2020 registrants.
The Cap10K was canceled last spring due to weather, while this year was of course canceled in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year’s cancellation was a first in race history.
The move is a generous gesture by the race committee as many participants have lost other registrations fees due to a number of race cancellations this year.
