Ambassador’s Corner: Cabana Club
Hello Austin Fit Fam! AFM influencer Nikki Zahka (@Fitwithnikk_) wrapping up the Austin summer vibes with the city’s latest hot spot to go cool off, grab some good drinks, co-work… or join @Whenwherewhataustin and say forget* work on Fridays (if you know, you know). I am, of course, talking about Cabana Club, which came in HOT on East 7th on June 28th and was immediately the spot to be, to hang by the pool, work, or enjoy some really great food and drinks. It is honestly such a unique concept, there is no wonder why it blew up so fast.
Before diving into what makes Cabana Club stand out against the hundreds of pools in Austin, I am happy to dedicate this Ambassador’s corner to I Live Here I Give Here. Supporting 750+ local nonprofit organizations, I Live Here I Give Here has produced year-round programs and activities that actively engage and empower individuals, companies, nonprofits, and foundations to be more generous and contribute to a more equitable community for all.

What makes Cabana Club so special is that it truly is for anyone, at any time, for really any reason. The team behind Progress Coffee came up with this concept for essentially an all-day hangout ideal for remote workers inside the coffee shop, an expansive covered patio, a swimming pool, a DJ, a stage for live music, a full bar, food trucks, and a kitchen. I really do mean any time, too! It is open for your convenience every single day from 7am, when you want to grab coffee, breakfast and begin working, through midnight. You can take dips in the pool between meetings, enjoy the various indoor and outdoor spots to take calls or meet people over lunch or dinner. End the day with post-work happy hour drinks and swimming and continue the fun times through 12am.
When you first walk inside, the coffee shop/restaurant gives off very cool tropical vibes, with hanging plants and unique art and furniture. You can pick your favorite spot to work or hang out with friends. In the back left corner is a stage where they host live music in true Austin fashion, and there is a big-screen TV to watch your favorite sports game or the Olympics.
As you pass through the coffee shop doors, it opens to an elevated patio spot with a few umbrella-shaded tables that overlook the larger patio spot that has a beautiful fountain, many mist fans to keep you cool in the Texas heat, and a retractable 2,500 pergola space that has smart technology that can actually sense when it starts to rain and covers itself. In the back-right area from the pergola are 3 to 4 different types of food trucks to pick from, and to the left is where you enter the pool area.
The pool area is 21+ with nine cabanas and various umbrella seating or open lounging options to catch some rays that are on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups can reserve the cabanas, you can find the number to call for pricing and reservations on cabanaclubaustin.com. Poolside service from the outdoor bar includes specialty cocktails, food options, towels, and more.
What I really loved about Cabana Club is that depending on where you went to hang out, each spot had its own vibe. You truly can go to get some remote work done in the quieter indoor space, or grab coffee and food in a more relaxed setting to catch up with colleagues or friends, or just get some sun hanging out by the pool, or really turn up the vibe and party with friends.

Sundays for the Girls: Sundays are for the girls! Join us at Cabana Club for a day of special treatment, including rosé, frozé, and brunch specials, poolside DJ sets, and a vendor market. Grab your girls and swing by between 12pm – 6pm.
Tuesday Open Mic Extravaganza: Hosted by singer-songwriter Casey Shaw, Cabana Club open mic night invites musicians, comedians, poets, and all to come by to showcase their talent. Free drink for anyone brave enough to perform! Go showcase your talent (or be like me and enjoy everyone else’s) for a fun night out of the house 7pm – 10pm.
Wednesday Nerd Night: Intelligence is sexy. Whether trivia is your jam or you’re in the mood for a beer and a book, Cabana Club Nerd Night has you covered from 7pm – 10pm.
F*ck Work Friday: Call out of work, we’re having a party. Join us poolside for live DJ sets and $3 Beer from 12pm – 6pm. It’s Austin Texas…Summer lasts longer here. Let’s enjoy those Summer Fridays while we can!
Saturday – Pergola Yoga: Free yoga in the pergola with Black Swan Yoga every Saturday morning at 9AM. A perfect way to start your weekend morning feeling good. Bring your own mat…and maybe a bathing suit to go swimming afterwards.
