Get Your Flu Shot…Or Else ;)

By Drex – September 22, 2010

Get ahead of the cold and flu season by getting your shot starting Tuesday, October 12th.

The Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services Department has scheduled seasonal flu vaccine clinics, both walk-in and drive-thru. And FREE flu shots are available for uninsured and under-insured Travis County residents 6 months or older and all Medicare recipients (please bring your card).

While some of the flu vaccine clinics do not require an appointment, other clinics are set up on an appointment-only basis. For appointments, call 972-5520 beginning October 4th.

All shots are FREE—suggested donation is $10.00.

For a map of all Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services flu clinic locations go to Google Maps and search Austin Flu Clinics 2010.

Flu Shot Information for the public is available by calling 2-1-1, 3-1-1, 972-5520 or by visiting www.ci.austin.tx.us/health
