What character did you dress up as and why?

Cupid. As a self-professed lover of Rom Coms, the cupid costume was perfect for me because, as we all know, Cupid is well-known for being the mischievous god of love.

Scariest situation you’ve been in?

In college, I once snuck into an abandoned hotel at night that was supposedly “haunted” with a group of friends. While we didn’t see any ghosts, it was unnerving making our way through each floor of the hotel in the pitch-black darkness.

Cupid

Cupid, the Roman god of love, has his origins in both Roman and earlier Greek mythology. His Greek counterpart is Eros, who was originally depicted as a primordial deity in early Greek myths.

Key Attributes

  • Bow and arrows: Signature weapon, believed to inspire both love and passion when he shot gold-tipped arrows or indifference with lead-tipped ones.
  • Youthful appearance: Usually depicted as a cherubic, winged boy, symbolizing the playful and sometimes capricious nature of love.
