Hello Austin Fit Fam! AFM influencer Nikki Zahka (@Fitwithnikk_) here again, and to get your Fall started off right, I wanted to highlight one of my personal favorite glamping spots just outside Austin in Dripping Springs. Lucky Arrow Retreat is an all-inclusive venue that offers lodging, an event space with food and beverage packages, resort-style pools, plenty of games, and things to do onsite, such as axe throwing, arcade and lawn games, and a playground. Plus, there is a brand new restaurant coming soon!
Before getting into why we personally fell in love with Lucky Arrow Retreat, I am happy to dedicate this Ambassador’s corner to I Live Here I Give Here. Supporting 750+ local nonprofit organizations, I Live Here I Give Here has produced year-round programs and activities that actively engage and empower individuals, companies, nonprofits, and foundations to be more generous and contribute to a more equitable community for all.

Lucky Arrow Retreat Hotel sits on 15 acres of pure Texas Hill Country beauty, overlooking the hills of Hill Country on the outskirts of scenic Dripping Spring. There are five different lodging options you can choose from to make your stay unique. Whether you prefer a more glamping style and want to stay in yurts or prefer more up-scale cabin stays that give you more of the comfort of home while away from the hustle & bustle of your everyday life.
Courtyard Cabins are the best if you have a larger group you are traveling with. They are a cluster of four cabins around a communal courtyard space that has two hot tubs and a fire pit for your party to enjoy quality time together. Porch houses are also great for groups or families. They are standalone cabins that have large wrap-around porches where you can sit outside and enjoy some quiet time. Or chat with your neighbors. Breezeway cabins are your most spacious and luxurious accommodations. The kitchen & living space is separated from the sleeping quarters by a spacious breezeway. Each one has its own private hot tub, queen-sized bed, vaulted ceilings, and a full private bathroom. The Safari tents are amazing for a romantic getaway – which is what we did! They are standalone units that have a comfy king-sized bed and the most comfortable pillows (honestly). Each Safari Tent is unique in design and includes private restrooms featuring clawfoot tubs, a record player, a microwave, a mini-fridge, and a Yeti cooler. All of the Lucky Arrow Retreat Cabins include heat & AC, WiFi, bathroom, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker & assorted coffees, hairdryer, iron & board. The Breezeway and Courtyard Cabins have queen-sized sleeper sofas to fit extra guests and a walk-in shower. The Yurts are the only stays that do not have a full-sized bathroom in-unit. However, there are beautiful communal bathrooms and showers close by in the pool area. They are not your typical glamping communal bathrooms either; these are extremely nice. The Yurts are nestled in the woods, and are surprisingly very spacious when you walk in! They each have a queen-sized bed, also have heat and air conditioning, and include WiFi, a coffee maker & assorted coffees. There are also Airstreams coming in the future to add to their collection, and they look very cool. I am going to have to go back and stay in one when they open! Check out each stay at https://luckyarrowretreat.com/lodging.
In the center of the property, there are two resort-style pools. One family-sized pool with plenty of chairs to relax, a turf area for corn hole & an upper deck separate pool for adults only that has beautiful cabanas right by their beer garden and bar. Anyone is welcome to go enjoy either pool, and even if you are not staying over, you have the opportunity to purchase a pool pass to go relax and enjoy the Texas Fall afternoons! Inside the Beer Garden is a full bar, Axe throwing, arcade games, and plenty of areas to hang out and catch up with your crew. There is also a large communal fire pit right outside where we made s’mores and met some other couples at night.
There is plenty to do onsite, but there is also so much to do around the area to explore! Lucky Arrow is connected to Bell Springs Winery, so you can also wander over to explore the winery/brewery, which has food trucks, formal tastings, more lawn games, and live music/entertainment. If you like hiking, Pedernales State Park is close by. Want to go play pickleball or mini golf? Dreamland is up the road. Want to explore different breweries and distilleries? There is a long list, including my personal favorite, Desert Door Distillery, all within a short drive.
Lucky Arrow does weddings and private events; it is a perfect spot for either! There have been a number of wellness retreats, and yours truly is even getting married there in November. It stole our hearts the first time we stayed, and the fact it can hold up to 120 people onsite to spend a full weekend together was a no-brainer with so many family members flying in.
With so much to do on the property and around the area, Lucky Arrow Retreat really is one of the best glamping spots around Austin; whether you are looking to host a private event, want a fun weekend away with some friends, or just want a staycation and to explore Hill Country. Take this as your sign to treat yourself and book that getaway to recharge!
