Colleen’s Kitchen
1911 Aldrich Street, Suite 100, Austin TX, 78723
As the food scene at Mueller continues to grow and serve people from north-central Austin and beyond, a new southern-inspired restaurant is joining in. Colleen’s Kitchen will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a custom cocktail menu to top it off. The restaurant is dedicated to locally sourced ingredients and serving central Texas beers and wines. Add Colleen’s Kitchen to your list for some comfort food with an elevated twist.

Barre3 Mueller
1911 Aldrich Street, Suite 150., Austin, TX 78722
Restaurateurs aren’t the only ones getting in on the opportunity to expand to the Mueller community. Popular ballet barre fitness class, Barre3, opened another Austin location at Mueller in September. The Portland, Ore. based studio has grown into an international franchise with over 100 locations opened since 2008. With classes offered seven days a week, from 5:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., there’s plenty of opportunities to try out this studio’s newest location.

Ranch Hand
21st Street and University Avenue, Austin, TX 78705
Two University of Texas at Austin MBA students, Brian Murphy and Quentin Cantu, are using their business savvy to take on the school’s lack of healthy lunch options. What began as a meal delivery service in spring of 2017 has lead to the opening of a full service food truck this September. The truck (named Ranch Hand, in homage to their locally sourced proteins) serves grain bowls with fresh vegetables, fruits and an array of meats like chicken, Wagyu steak, and even bison. Located by the campus’ Gregory Gymnasium, the truck is providing UT students a fresh start to the school year.

Castle Hill Fitness 360
3801 N Capital of Texas Hwy, Austin, TX 78746
A downtown Austin favorite, Castle Hill Fitness, expanded west and opened a second location in the Davenport Village Shopping Center off of Highway 360. CHF will be signing up new members, but current members will also be able enjoy access to both locations starting Oct. 1.
Members can enjoy an array of amenities including a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam rooms, massage services, Yoga, Pilates, and personal training. The new location is located in the space that was previously BBFitness studios. Previous owner Susan Cooper retired after 34 years in the business, and Castle Hill Fitness acquired BB Fitness and kept all her employees on board. With individual, student, couple, and small business membership plans, West Austin residents can find different pricing options to fit their needs.
