Q: How is your wax different than other types of wax?
A: European Wax Center's Comfort Wax is a hard wax. That means it is applied directly to the skin and removed without cloth strips. It can be applied at a cooler temperature than other waxes so it doesn't burn the skin. It clings to hair, but not skin, which results in less irritation.

Q: What is the four-step Comfort Wax system?
A: Our four-step Comfort Wax system is designed to produce the Ultimate Wax Experience by cleansing, protecting, waxing and rejuvenating the skin.

Step One: Cleanse
The first step is our pre-wax cleanser which removes any make up, oil, or lotion that may prevent the quality of the wax from taking place.

Step Two: Protect
The second step is our pre-wax oil which creates a protective barrier between the skin and the wax, making sure that the wax only adheres to the hair and not to the skin.

Step Three: Wax
In the third step, we use our exclusive Comfort Wax that was formulated in Paris from 100% natural beeswax. The wax is uniquely formulated with a lower melting point, so it is applied at a more comfortable temperature. It is alcohol-free so it does not dry the skin or get brittle. We're the only ones in the world that have this wax.

Step Four: Rejuvenate
The fourth step is our rejuvenating step. We use one of our exclusive finishing products like our EWC Ingrown Hair Serum to prevent any ingrown hairs, bumps or breakouts. It sends our guests out feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.

Q: What qualifies a EWC wax specialist?
A: All European Wax Center wax specialists are licensed and trained estheticians. They are also trained extensively with our own Comfort Wax and receive additional education for mastering waxing efficiency and product knowledge. As the world leader in comfortable and healthy waxing, we ensure that our wax specialists receive ongoing training and coaching.

Q: What types of services do you offer free for a first time guest?
A: Women can take advantage of a free eyebrow, under arm, or bikini line service. Men can receive a free eyebrow, ear or nose wax.

On a comfortable Spring day, you will find Wild Orchid's garage door open welcoming clients and allowing them to enjoy a beautiful Austin day overlooking Lady Bird Lake. Keeping true to Austin's love for music, Wild Orchid is outfitted with Bose sound and music from Danielle's favorite playlist providing an ambient vibe. Danielle's vision was for her clients to have a fun, relaxing experience walking out the door elated with their hair.

When building a team she looked for talented Master stylists having a minimum 12 years experience and sharing her love for hair and beauty. With a variety of hair services including ombré, balayage, keratin treatments and hot head extensions for female clientele and scalp massages for male clientele, you are sure to leave feeling like a million bucks! To maintain your beautiful hair and protect your skin, Wild Orchid Salon offers sulphate and paraben free, professional hair products by Kevin Murphy and paraben and BPA free Livestrong sunscreen by Thinksport.

As Wild Orchid builds on its success, Danielle has plans for further renovations and just maybe an expansion of space at the end of 2012 to bring additional skin care and spa services to Wild Orchid's clients!
