Okay, McDonald’s, you should be ashamed of yourself. Did you have to add something deliberately fattened-up to your already nutritionally horrendous menu? It is like you want fat zombies for your consumers. Oh wait, you do.
For those of you who haven’t heard, McDonald’s is marketing a “bowl full of wholesome”, otherwise known as their Fruit and Maple Oatmeal. More like a bowl full of lies.
My first thought was, “How can you possibly ruin oatmeal?” For starters, you charge as much as $2.38 for a serving that would cost you no more than $.50 to make at home. Oh, I get it now! McDonald’s wants their consumers fat and broke. Next, you pump it so full of cream, sugar, and other weird ingredients you would never keep in your house, that it weighs in at 290 calories for a single serving. How is it physically possible to turn a single, healthy ingredient into a dish with more than 10 ingredients, and just 10 calories shy of an Egg McMuffin? And get away with calling it oatmeal? Not cool, McDonald’s.
