American Red Cross’ First Urban Adventure Race — Registration now open!

Online registration is now open for the Ready. Set. Red! Cross City Challenge. The inaugural event will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in downtown Austin. Teams of two people will start their urban adventure at the Austin American Statesman and complete as many challenges as possible before the deadline, all to support the American Red Cross of Central Texas.

From wacky to tough, a variety of challenges will be created throughout downtown Austin to test
participants’ physical, mental and Red Cross disaster response skills. Strategy is key to earning the most
points and winning the competition. Each challenge will be assigned a point value and values will vary
based on difficulty and distance from the start/finish line.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available, with in-kind or corporate sponsorships or opportunities to underwrite a specific part of the event, Ready. Set. Red! offers a variety of opportunities to meet your company’s marketing goals and budget.

Online Registration for the Ready.Set.Red! Cross City challenge is $25 per person and includes
a Ready. Set. Red! t-shirt, packet and post-event refreshments. All ages are welcome to join this
family-friendly event. Proceeds from Ready.Set.Red! benefit the American Red Cross of Central
