“The conversation is part of the healing process.” –Kristen Files, FNTP, Owner of Forest Creek Wellness
Open communication and continuous conversation sets Kristen Files and Forest Creek Wellness apart from other health practitioners and treatment centers. The healing process at Forest Creek Wellness begins with an initial conversation (usually one and a half to two hours long!) and a developing relationship with Files. Making dramatic lifestyle changes is hard. But Files has discovered that communication is the key to recovery.
Files is a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who specializes in helping overwhelmed, exhausted, and frustrated women uncover their root issues and understand their chronic illnesses and deficiencies. Having experienced chronic fatigue and brain fog her entire life (all while being the mother of four), Files understands the struggles of mothers who don’t have the time or energy to care for themselves; they’re simply coping because they have to put the needs of others before their own.
Files abandoned the conventional treatment approaches that were solely focused on managing her symptoms instead of working to discover the root causes of her ailments. It’s so hard to feel heard or truly understood when you’re just going through the motions of life! You’re surviving but not thriving under any circumstances.
Files believes in a food-first approach to healing. She emphasizes that a nutritional plan is vital in restoring your body’s healing capabilities and that you can never “out supplement” a core diet. Adding the right supplements to your lifestyle is just a part of the process of equipping your body with the tools it needs to heal itself.
Files now has over 10 years of experience in creating nutrition plans and transforming lives through lifestyle changes. Every step of the healing journey with Files is tailored to the individual. After the first onboarding call with a new client, Files offers lab work, applied kinesiology (muscle testing), or other test recommendations in order to better diagnose the root issues. Sometimes, after the initial conversation with a client, Files discovers that the root issue is not what the intake papers would suggest. This continues to reaffirm her belief that a person is more than just a script on intake paperwork and past medical history.
Once the data and lab results are available, Files works with the client to build a plan and set new goals for the big lifestyle changes ahead. Files meets her clients where they’re at. She helps them prioritize their dollars by creating a budget that fits their lifestyle. She says, “The perfect plan isn’t the perfect plan if you can’t afford or maintain it.”
In January 2026, Forest Creek Wellness is offering an Adrenal Recovery Program called The Fatigue Fix. The goal of this new program is to establish a community around the program members as they tackle similar health issues. It’s easy to feel trapped, depressed, or alone when you’ve been struggling to find answers. The Fatigue Fix program was designed to help you heal in a community of like-minded women while still consisting of a personalized and individual protocol that’s best for your body.
Do you struggle with energy deficiencies? Do you feel chronically overwhelmed or stressed? Do you have stubborn or unwanted weight that no amount of exercise or dieting can shed?
Or most importantly, do you feel like no one understands or wants to help you get answers?
Having someone who not only cares to hear your story but also understands your struggles, is a game changer. Files can help you transform your life, connect you with a community of like-minded people, and support you every step of your healing journey.
